Director of Bands

David M. Brockington is enjoying his 20th year as Director of Bands for both Carlson High School and Shumate Middle School. His teaching responsibilities include 6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade Bands. The Carlson Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band. Music Appreciation and direction of the Marching Marauder Band. Mr. Brockington is also the Director of the Carlson Drama Program and serves as the auditorium director and technical advisor. Mr. Brockington holds degrees from Kalamazoo College and the University of Michigan.
